Columbia College - Fitness Center
Chicago, Illinois
Located within the historic Lakeside Press Building in Chicago's South Loop, the fitness center provided Columbia College students with a dedicated space for exercise, recreation, and physical well-being.
Originally constructed as a printing facility in the late nineteenth century, the building was later adapted to accommodate student residences and campus amenities. The fitness center brought together cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, exercise areas, and supporting facilities within this historic industrial setting.
The project reflects the continued adaptation of an existing building to support the evolving needs of an urban college campus.
