This short-term rental retreat will be located in Stonewall, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, surrounded by some of the best wineries, distilleries and dancehalls of Texas. Consisting of several private Studio and 1-Bedroom cabins and a support building, the retreat will attract guests for weekend getaways and extended stays from Texas and beyond. 

The cabins are situated in the landscape to offer maximum privacy, tranquility and comfort, while at the same time being arranged in a village-like setting and allowing opportunities for guests to connect with one another.

The architecture is a modern interpretation of traditional vernacular design of the area, using materials including metal, wood and limestone. The forms are reminiscent of the simple geometries of traditional rural sheds and farms. The design celebrates the unique aesthetic of the Hill Country, combined with minimalistic design and honest materials that relate to the local landscape. Guests can experience the traditions of the Hill Country, while enjoying modern comfort.

Each cabin is positioned to react to its own microsite in order to maximize guest privacy and views. The orientation, canopies and window awnings are designed to minimize solar heat gain in order to help with energy savings and comfort.
